What To Do In The Off-Season In Myrtle Beach

The peak sun and surf is behind us as another summer season has ended, but that doesn’t mean the fun has stopped in the Grand Strand area! There is plenty of things to do, both indoors and outdoors in the off-season. The weather is pretty temperate year round, so put on your flip flops and pick one of these great things to do!

Enjoy the Beach

Early morning or in the evening, the beach’s beauty never fades. Choose one of many local beaches, and enjoy a stroll that is less crowded. Bring Fido with you too as dogs are allowed on the beaches throughout the off-season. Enjoy collecting seashells? With less people, you will be able to find more perfect gems from the sea! Another idea is to bring a picnic lunch or dinner to enjoy with the crashing waves as the soundtrack to your meal. Whatever your choose to do, enjoy the view and salt air.

Venture in to the Deep Seas

Book a boat and bundle up for a day of deep sea fishing! (Or bundle up and book a BrewBoat!) The off-season is the perfect time to go deep sea fishing. You don’t have to fight crowds for dates/times for charters and it isn’t scorching hot outside. So gather your buddies, grab some supplies for the day, and get out there to create some fishing tales to tell for years to come.

Shop ’til You Drop

Want to give your charge cards a work out? Myrtle Beach has it covered! Tanger Outlets, offerings two locations in the area, can give you your fix for getting a deal, featuring stores such as Kate Spade, Banana Republic, Nike, Reebok, Michael Kors, and more. The Grand Strand also offers Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing, each with a mix of unique shopping experiences, restaurants and entertainment. All are open air, so you will still get to enjoy the lovely South Carolina weather!
